Who wants a pear?

Charlie has discovered the pears on the tree. He walks around the tree sniffing until he finds one, then jumps up and snatches it off. Even though they're not ripe yet, he loves to eat them. Poor Duke just gets the leftovers. (I usually end up picking one for him!)

How could I forget...

Chicago deep dish pizza? Sorry the picture is blurry, but it was definitely the best pizza we've ever eaten!

The Windy City

Sysco had a meat and seafood promotion for a few months and the reward was a trip to Chicago. Yancy's district worked very hard and won! (I kept a Chicago postcard on the refrigerator for months, just a gentle reminder of how much I wanted to go!) It was such a fun trip and we fell in love with Chicago. Here's a few pictures...

Jersey Boys was fantastic!!!

Yancy's Chicago Dog

This is one of my favorites from Chicago.

God has been so great to us in allowing us to travel to so many great places. I always come back wth a new appreciation for how big the world is and how much bigger our God is to be able to hold it all in the palm of his hand.

Here's My Reward!

A lot of you wonder how I can stay in a room with 16 3-year-olds as much as I do. This is how...

How sweet is that?!

Happy Birthday, Yancy!

Yancy never thought he would make it to 30, but I'm so glad he did! (He always said he'd be dead or in jail. Thank God, neither came true! Jesus and I kept him on the straight and narrow!) He's always wanted to go skydiving, so that's in our plans for tomorrow. What a way to celebrate your 30th, huh? He put in a special request for this cake. It's a combination of the peanut butter and the chocolate cakes I make. We're calling it a Reese's cake. Anyway, I think it turned out pretty good. Yancy likes it and that's all that matters. Happy 30th, Yancy!!! I love you lots!

The good-byes begin...

I had dinner Tuesday night with our Bible study girls for the last time. We had a great time, but it was very sad. I hate that I won't get to see them every week anymore. Good-byes are really hard! They have been so faithful in their walks with the Lord and I've been so blessed to be a part of their lives. I love you girls and I'm gonna miss you so much!!!
